Recessed tile-in hatch with an overlapping perimeter flange for new construction
The Flanged Recessed Access Hatch uses an overlapping perimeter flange to support the edge of the opening and define the finish line. It is suited to new construction or any project where the support can be prepared around the hatch.
The structure uses 2 mm aluminum with a powder-coated finish. A 13 mm recessed tray can receive compatible porcelain, stone or deck finish up to the specified thickness.
The flange can cover the cut edge around the opening, but the support still needs to be level, stable and sized for the selected finish. The floor preparation should follow the approved drawing.
A concealed handle provides access, while gas-strut assistance and a mechanical safety stay can be specified for larger or heavier configurations. A 9 cm gutter with a 50 mm (2 in) outlet can collect perimeter water.
Provide the opening dimensions, support detail, finish, opening direction, lifting clearance and drainage connection. If the floor is already finished, compare this model with the flangeless or surface-mounted version.
