Wide-flange retrofit hatch for existing openings and pool-deck renovations
The Surface-Mounted Pool Equipment Access Hatch is intended for renovations and replacements where the surrounding floor should receive limited intervention. It sits over the existing support instead of requiring the entire deck to be rebuilt.
Its overlapping perimeter flange covers small irregularities around the opening and creates a defined edge for the new cover. The final support must still be sound, level and able to receive the frame.
The structure uses 2 mm aluminum with a powder-coated finish. The opening system can include gas struts and a mechanical safety stay according to the size, lid weight and finish.
A 9 cm internal gutter with a 50 mm (2 in) outlet can collect water around the perimeter. The connection and fall are defined by the drainage plan rather than by the hatch alone.
